Mira Devi – Ayurvedic Counselor, Massage Therapist, & LET Therapist

With over twenty-five years in the healing arts, Mira Gale brings a skill set which draws from a lifelong commitment to personal growth. She dove into the study of Yoga and Ayurveda during a ten year period spent at Shoshoni Yoga Retreat, an ashram near Boulder, Colorado. There she spent many days in the kitchen preparing Ayurvedic meals, as well as in the Ayurvedic Spa offering traditional health therapies. During her time at Shoshoni, Mira became a certified yoga instructor at the 500 hour level, spa manager/lead spa therapist, meditation teacher, lifestyle coach, and staff manager.    She taught Ayurvedic treatment protocols to spa therapists, and created and taught an Ayurvedic module for Shoshoni’s Yoga Teacher Training.

A lifelong musician, Mira flourished as a Kirtan (sacred chant) leader, wrote and recorded several albums with the ashram band ‘Shiva’s Garden’.

A licensed massage therapist, Mira has completed trainings in Advanced Ayurvedic Therapies, Marma Chikitsa, Herbology, and Ayurvedic Cooking with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, NM.

Certified as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor through both the Vedic Institute and the Austin Based NAYA, she supports clients at East West through sharing accessible, practical dietary and lifestyle guidelines based on Ayurvedic principles and stress reducing yogic practices.

An experienced, intuitive massage therapist who draws from both western and eastern modalities, Mira offers western and Ayurvedic massage therapies at East West. For the past seven years she has worked alongside Dr. Nita Desai, supporting patients through the powerful Ayurvedic cleanse for body/mind/consciousness known as “Pancha Karma”. More recently, she is applying her bodywork background and appreciation for the lymphatic system by providing East West’s potent LET (Lymphatic Enhancement Therapy) to patients.
